Households Serving the Lord

This post resonated with me because I am truly seeing families just d.o.n.e. with the materialistic society we're living in and turning back to the Word.

I'm praying for the Holy Spirit to empower my family to live for Him! Let's get serious about Godly Things!

Working on this. Really working on 1cor 8:1. Knowledge puffs up but love builds up. For me, it is completely changing a paradigm of what I thought raising kids would be (even from a defined Christian mindset, believing mine were entrusted to "my" parenting) to think about where the Lord is taking us, not me. This is new for me. And since this is a new "knowledge" I need to be careful that even as I am turning the rudder on this boat to God, that I am not puffing up at others, but really, really demonstrating love toward them. For me, that is keeping my mouth shut and not puffing up. Something for me to think about esp seeing other family members that are not believers over the holiday season.

So true. We endevor to guide our family through God's Word and His love then rechannel that love to others.
